We invite you to join the 51ÁÔÆæ Choir and Voice program, led by Dr. Cindy Harrison. We promise it will change your life!

Our choir and voice students maintain an active performance schedule, including performances throughout Texas, and most recently New York City. Students participate in the Southwest and National American Choral Director Association (ACDA) Honor Choirs, and the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Honor Choirs annually. We also participate in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) student auditions. 

Ensembles include:
     Chorale
     Chamber Singers
     Men's Chorus
     Women's Chorus

 

A Tradition of Excellence

Founded in 1948, 51ÁÔÆæ Choir and Vocal program has a long history of success.

We welcome all students, regardless of academic major, musical experience, or ability.

  • Auditioned ensembles include the Chamber Singers, Women's Chorus and Men's Chorus.

  • College Chorale is open to all students without an audition.

  • Private voice lessons are available to both majors and non-majors.

If you are a prospective or current 51ÁÔÆæ student, regardless of experience or ability, we want you to sing with us!!

 

College Chorale

  • Open to all students - no audition required.

  • Performs music from all historical periods, from Renaissance to contemporary.

  • Presents two concerts per semester.

 

Collegiate Chamber Singers

  • Auditioned small ensemble representing Navarro's most advanced singers.

  • Performs primarily a cappella and advanced repertoire.

  • Concerts and tours take place across Texas. 

 

Women's and Men's Chorale

  • Auditioned ensembles focusing on repertoire written specifically for their voices.

  • Perform works spanning centuries of choral literature.

 

 

Scholarships and Auditions

All students are encouraged to apply for scholarships and sign up for auditions.
